I know this is extremely late, but let me tell you, graduating from college, packing up your entire life and moving back to Florida doesn’t leave time for much else (including updating my blog)! But here it is, at long last, an update on my life as a recent graduate of Elon University and my transition into the real world! To start off, here are a “before” and “after” picture of me on the big day:

Waiting in line to cross the stage!

After the ceremony with my DIPLOMA!

Not only was I incredibly lucky to have family and friends come from far and near, but we were ALL lucky the rain held off until after the ceremony (granted we only had about 3 minutes to gather on the lawn before the sky opened up). The only things missing from the celebration were my mom and sister who were still in Jacksonville for baby sister’s graduation, which happened to be on the same day, at the same time, 500 miles away! Luckily, many pictures were taken at both ceremonies and we just celebrated this past weekend with a big graduation party with family and friends!

As far as being in the “real world,” that part hasn’t really set in yet. So far, I’ve spent a weekend in the Tampa/Clearwater area visiting my boyfriend for Memorial Day Weekend, many days at the beach and a lot of sleeping in! Next week, however, I’ll start my 2-week camp counselor job at a performing arts camp here in Jacksonville, followed by a 17-day European vacation with my family! I did apply for an amazing job this morning, though, so hopefully I’ll have some good news to share with all in the near future (fingers crossed!)
